JEE mains is a compititive entrance exam for admission in various IITs and NITs for UG courses. This is national level exam conducted in India. From past years IIT JEE exam was conducted by CBSE . But there are some changes in IIT JEE exam after 2018 .
Let,s talk about it
1. Mode of examination= online.
2. Conducted by NTA ( national testing agency).
3. Exam will be conducted twice in a year . In month of January and April.
4. Number of attempts = 3
5. Age limit = there is no age limit for this exam.
6.Rank of the candidates will be according to their percentile .
2. Candidates must have passed class 12 or qualify exam in 2017 or 2018 and candidates appearing in class 12 or equivalent qualiying exam in 2019 also can apply JEE mains.
3. It is compulsory for candidates to have taken 5 subjects in class 12 or equivalent qualiying exam.
4.Students can apply for JEE mains for three consecutive years. JEE mains exam will be conducted twice in a year . However , the attempts for a particular academic year will be considered as one.
There are two exams conducted under JEE mains 1. Paper 1 for B.Tech /B.E
2. Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Plan
Exam pattern:

2. All the questions will be MCQ type .
3. Each correct answer fetches 4 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark.
4. No marks are awarded for questions not attempted.

6 . Language : English and Hindi.
Mathematics of 11th and 12th class
Aptitude test: Awareness of place, building, materials, texture and object related to architecture. Visualing 3D objects from 2D. Analytical reasoning and mental ability.
Drawing test : drawing and designing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns of pencil, transformation of form 3D and 2D union.Elevations and 3D view of objects rotation, Development of surface and volume.

# JEE mains will held twice in a year so student can attempt both of them in January and April.
# if a student attemt both exam then student,s best score will be considered for ranking in JEE mains.
# Top 2,24000 students will qualify for JEE advanced.
#And 30,000 students selected after JEE advanced and around 10,000 - 11,000 seats are available in IIT.
